Freakin out! I have no idea what to do..my scale keeps going up..I'm so frustrated. I am not following the diet perfectly right now due to our "grocery budget" but I definatly keep in mind what i'm eating and try not to eat to many bad things :( yesterday for lunch i had a bowl of pinto beans with one slice of american cheese and salsa on it. for diner a hamburger on a whole wheat bun. I'm loosing faith in my "all star diet" i'm ready to turn back the clock and go back to starving sadly. Hope you all are doing well.

Starving yourself is not the answer. You'll just throw your body into starvation mode, and make yourself weak and cranky. There are plenty of healthy foods that don't cost a lot of money. Like your beans, look for things that take a little more time to prepare, but are whole foods, not full of preservatives. If you're thinking of your grocery budget, look at places like Aldis, or farmers' markets. Buying produce doesn't have to be outlandish. You can also look for frozen fruits and veg that don't have added sugar, etc. Don't give up. Just do your research and find what will work for you.

I'm sure you're just venting, which is what we're here for, but please before resorting to anything like a crazy fad diet or starving yourself, let everyone really try to help you and see what the problem might be. I just tried to look at your food diary and you haven't used it for a while. How about if you start using that and I betcha someone would have a real good point or some tips that could make a difference. I've seen it work more times than you'd imagine. Sometimes one little thing, kaboom, can wreck all your good intentions. Too many bad carbs, too many carbs high in the glycemic index, too much fat or too much sodium. These are some of the more common ones but it could also be that you just need to cut back on the wheat products and have less. I'm sure it's something simple that we can help you try to figure out. Hang in there.

I agree, try keeping a food journal here and then you might get some answers from others that have gone through it. I recently discovered that night time snacking was holding me back from weight loss, even though it was South Beach friendly and within daily calories. Just by making that little change, i started losing again.
