My "advice" today (for myself)is coming from A New Earth (by Tolle) Online Class companion guide question," Have you ever had the experience of standing before the open refrigerator, not really hungry, but looking for something anyway? Many people try to fill up their life with food, drink, drugs or other addictive behavior. The 'need for more' can turn into insatiable hunger. The next time you find yourself reaching for something you think you want, get in touch with your inner body--your 'essence identity'--and see what happens to your 'need for more.' Record your experiences here." (Reading the book would be helpful, too.)

I have found that eating is such an easy coping mechanism since it can be done simultaneously with other activities. This is of course, a horrible habit. I work at a computer all week long and there are times when I'm bored, tired, or stressed out but I can't leave the office. This has led me to food so many times. I realized that taking a quick walk helps and luckily, I now have a job that gives me the freedom to do it. If smokers can have smoke breaks, then I can have a walk break. If I'm healthy, then my work will be more effective. I think a lot of employers should consider the benefits of emphasizing health and exercise which is likely to lead to happier and healthier employees. Some are already by using desk treadmills!
