Weight is up. I don't know what to do. I'm exercising like a crazy woman.

I don't know what to do, this plateau is about to be my breaking point. I've lost 4 lbs this month, and I can't seem to get things to move in the right direction.

I really am starting to get frustrated and I do not know what to do.

I am not cranky, I am sad and frustrated. I'm losing, not weight, but the battle.

p.s. just thought of another thing? your present weight; would this be a weight that youve been for any length of time in the past? i think that is sometimes a reason that we plateau at certain weights?? try doing a different exercise than what you normally do or maybe a couple of fairly light food days and see if that gets your body going? let me know how you go good luck

Join the club. I killed myself at the gym to GAIN weight. Then I just ate. And ate and ate. Now I'm up 5 pounds. Sucks. Hopefully we can both break this, and get down to where we want to be....

We need to break this plateau, Mom. (not my Mom, just a Mom). I'm quitting smoking, and its all your fault that I'm craving Surf Taco every day! Joe and I are going on Friday, I think. I'm sure that's not going to help my plateau, but I want it. We'll break this, we're just in a funk, and it's frustrating. We are so in the same boat! And I'm looking into retro fitness now to join.

One thing I know FOR SURE...is that when you work out really hard your muscles retain water and you will weigh more. So if you are working out seriously then it will take some time for the scale to go down but you should be toning, losing inches. But if you haven't lost any thing in awhile then it is definitely your food intake. Remember losing weight is 30% exercise and 70% diet. To get me past my plateau I am going to start the WW "Fast Track" which is a jump start to losing weight. It came out a few years ago.Consist of all the food groups with lower carb and higher protein. Nothing like Atkins at all. I started today so hopefully I will see some results in three days.

I know, I keep my calories low, and work out. It's just rough. I can assume it's water and I'll flush it out. I know I need patience in all of this, but sometimes it's just hard.

Don't go below your points !!!! Your body will start to store fat thinking it wont be getting enough food.

see that's my problem, I never eat all my points, I got into a bad habit, and I can't help it. Now I'm scared if I start eating them all, that I will start gaining.

Have you had a feast day lately where you ate whatever you wanted ... points be damned??? There are some who believe that having an occasional higher calorie day ... more fat ... more whatever can help break a plateua. I do know that in the end it really is "simple math" and it will shift ... patience is difficult ... I struggle in similar ways!! Hang in there ... you are NOT losing the battle.

I don't think so ( at least for me it doesn't work that way )I say if wer're all in the same boat or club maybe it's time to change mixed it up a little satified your craving( try moderation) and then put a high power motor on your boat with a FULL FORCE!!and continue your STEADY ride!!

Hahaha - Surf Taco! Truthfully, as long as you don't OD on the chips (they are fried) and you don't order anything crazy, I think ST is pretty healthy. I get the garlic shrimp taco, and last time I went, I had them grill the shrimp so it was cooked in butter. You can also ask for the Mayo to be put on the side so you don't have to worry about having to much of that. And all the cabbage they put on there is great for you.

this is why I am afraid to work out. I gain then I will eat. I am waiting until I reached my goal befor I start working out again. Not sure how smart this is but I get depressed when I go in hard at the gym to see the scale go up. I then feel I could of just eat to see that... and the beat goes on...

Just keep at it. You'll break through soon.

@Mom: I am craving it, and the closest one is like 35 minutes away!! Grrr!

@polar bear: you have to work out, you can't just change your diet, it sounds tempting and it might work at first, but unless you change your body, it's just a temporary fix.

how about chilling with your exercising? how many times a week do u exercise? i say stick to 3 or 4 days, 30 minutes max. and eat your points! :)

@rox: i usually exercise 5 days a week, over an hour each day. why do i think it's bad to eat all my points? this is a question that plagues me!
22 Feb 10 by member: alllicat
