Feverish !!

Recently, I am feeling fever kind of feeling after 2-3 hours of workout session. The body gets warm with a mild headache. This remains for a few hours and gets fine by the morning, except the headache.

Does any one have similar experience? Can this be due to lack of salt or water in body, any ideas?

It's difficult to comment because I don't know your fitness levels etc, but is it possible that you're over-exerting yourself? I know that 2-3hrs of non-stop exercise would be overdoing it for me, but then I really am quite unfit! Perhaps you could try spreading it out over the day instead and see if you feel any better? Make sure you drink water liberally too, because dehydration could potentially cause headaches. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon xx

thanks buffy and shae for your concerns. I really appreciate that. I did a little study on my condition and understood that I am low on salt intake. I prespire a lot and I drink a lot of water but not taking salt. Infact my diet has minimal levels of salt. So I took a big dose of electrolyte solution. Hope this phase will fade away soon.

That's very interesting to know, thanks for sharing. I'm aware that my diet also includes unusually low levels of sodium intake, so this is something I should probably watch out for myself when I'm exercising. I would be really interested to know how much of a difference the electrolyte solution made. I'm glad to managed to get to the bottom of the problem :)

Shae, one more thing to note here. When on day before yesterday I took a big dose of oral re-hydration salts, amazingly my weight rose by 3 lbs the next day. The fever and headaches are gone too mild now. Today I did not work out to see how effective this is !!
