rottiemom65's Journal, 12 October 2016

I have never been this heavy. Being off work for over 1 year and 2 shoulder replacement surgeries in 1 year have taken their toll. Good news is before joining here I had already lost 2.2 pounds in 1 week. I am trying to stay under 1300 calories a day. Next week I am going to join T.O.P.S. I need weekly weighins so I have accountability so I will stick with my life change.

Thank you, it will be a struggle but well worth it, I just need to get over the exercise hump. I have been in constant severe pain for 2 years with my shoulders so much so that even walking sent vibrations up to my shoulders which caused severe pain. I am going to dust my Tony Little Gazelle off and start with that every day

Hey there :-) Just wanted to send some good vibes. From the entries you've made it looks like you're doing awesome with your calorie intake! Just let me know if still wanted to know what kind of foods work for me and I'll try and make list somewhere. Also please be careful not to over do it with the working out. I got bursitis about a year ago (doing exercise with a fitness trainer of all things!) and I know that's NOTHING compared to what you've been through, so please just be extra gentle on those shoulders. You're current calorie intake should allow you to lose weight even if you did nothing but lounge in bed all day, so you should have no major need to push yourself too hard too fast.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. So far I have managed to stay under 1200 calories each day, not by choice but I find that I really am not as hungry as I thought I would be. I need to go out this weekend and buy a scale, I haven't weighed myself since the surgery on Sept 29th. I have found that having a scale in the house tends to make me become kind of obsessed with weighing myself every day which I shouldn't. I plan on joining T.O.P.S at the beginning of November.
