I've been "thinking" about changing the way I eat for last two weeks because I've very unhappy with the weight I've gained. Seeing as how I again ate a load of chocolate candy even today -- the day before my start date, it's clear I have to get ALL sweets out of house: Turtles, Dove dark chocolate, orange mints, biscotti TODAY. They're drugs to me; if they're in the house, I am going to eat them.

Also, I've become pretty addicted to salty snack foods like potato chips and most recently, to tortilla chips. They have to go as well. AND I have to commit not to bring them into the house any more.

Those are the most important actions for me to do to signal my committment to weight loss. So step number 1: this evening, I am givding away all candies in the house to neighbors in our building!

Once I've been off sweets for a week to 10 days, I generally enjoy low- fat, healthy meats, dairy, fruit and vegetables. (I know I'll ALSO have to start an exercie program, AS WELL AS to create healthier menus for daily eating, but first things first for me: the sweets gotta go.)

After that, the hard part will be getting thru those first 7-10 days without my "drug of choice", chocolate...

Yes girl I can hear ya! Chocolate chocolate chocolate. I even tried sugar free chocolate but they are high in carbs. i did get me some of those sugar free fudge pops though. Then I got past the chocolate addiction. I treat myself with those snickers minis every now and agaibn, but one night I sat down and ate 9 of them, lol, so no more of that. I wish you the best on your journey
