Not too bad. I had my first cheat meal in months when I went out to celebrate my bf's birthday Friday night. I had everything I wanted, but didn't eat all of anything. Back in the day I would have eaten every last bite, so I am feeling okay with it. It wasn't a lapse in judgment, but rather a planned high carb meal. I went right back to my routine the next day and I am right where I was on Friday. I am thinking I will see a drop next week since TOM arrived on Saturday and retention is happening big time. I am surprised that I am not having any cravings, but WILL say that I felt pretty gross on Saturday. Kinda like a carb hangover. I will not be doing this on a regular basis unless I see that it jumps my weight loss due to shocking my system on occasion.

I've done 2 planned carb meals since April, and each time, I gained 5+ pounds over the next 3-4 days. And each time, it took weeks to get it back off. Between that, and as you say, the carb hangover, it's simply not worth it for me. Don't be surprised if you see more gains over the next few days. Every body is different, so maybe yours won't react the way mine does. Good restraint on not eating all of anything! That's a sure sign of change.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I know some have the same experience and others who do it on a regular basis because they have a loss. I am hoping for the latter obviously. LOL. I will post updates as I go. If I have your experience I will definitely not do it again. I am kinda looking at it as an experiment to see how my body reacts. The carb hangover is pretty crappy though.

Now that you mention it, the ones who post about the carb loading, etc and still show losses are guys. We know men and women do respond differently. Please post about how this goes for you.

I have seen women post they have done it and didn't gain, so hopefully you will be one of them. Everyone responds differently to things, not just by gender.
