So I got my AC1 results (I hope I'm remembering that correctly!) and my doc/diabetes nurse were amazed - in 5 months, I've got it down to 5.9 by dropping 35 lbs. I'm still (and always will be) diabetic, but as my nurse told me - "You have this SO under control that we're not even going to think about medication". I'm so pleased with this - the diagnosis was very much a wake up call, but caught early enough to be a gentle rain on the window kind of wake up, not a SLAP IN THE HEAD WITH A FROZEN FISH kind of wake up (which is most DEFINITELY what it usually takes for me to pay attention!) So YAY, I don't have to go pee in a cup or get vampired for another 6 months, by which time my total weight loss should be much greater. SO pleased with this :-) YAY!!! Thanks for reading, have a great day!
