Has anyone used Whey Protein for weight loss? What can you tell me about it.

I was at the gym with my daughter and the trainer was telling us how well we were doing with making time to come workout. Said he noticed that I was slimming down!!! YEAH!! Anyway, he said that if I wanted to lose weight that I should have 1 scoop of a 'good' whey protein every morning 1 hour before eating.

Well since he looks great, I was thinking that maybe he might know a little something that I don't. Has anyone else tried this? Have you benefitted from it? Advice please!

Yes, whey protein has been shown to help with weight loss. It's a protein, so it helps keep you full. Many people use it in smoothies. I have tried adding it to oatmeal and a few other things, but sometimes it doesn't taste good. But in a shake, in the blender, it's good. Protein helps you build muscle and lose fat. The best thing is to get a varied amount of protein through many sources, such as" dairy, whey, meat, soy, etc. Good luck!
