flaxseed's Journal, 17 November 2009

Weight has stayed the same this week. I have eaten lunch out twice this week and I notice that whenever I eat away from home I either put on or stay the same. It doesn't seem to matter whether I stay within my calories or not. I think what you eat makes as much of a difference as well as how much you eat. Getting a bit stressed this week - my daughter is going for her yearly check up on Wednesday, Ollie is having his operation on Thursday and OH is waiting for a date for his scan. I can feel the tension mounting. Don't think DD has anything to worry about but she goes for a mammogram on her remaining breast, blood tests etc on Wed and then we have to wait til the following Wed to see the consultant for the results and physical examination.

On the good side, I can see my shape changing again. When I put my jacket on to go shopping this morning I could wrap it right over way past the buttons. Hope it will last me over the winter. Don't want to have to buy another one until next year. I thought about moving the buttons over but it wouldn't hang right. Just have to put a thicker jumper under it! I've bought my christmas outfit - size smaller too.

Weather yesterday was horrible. Dark, wet and blowing a gale. We had the light on for most of the day. Today has been quite good in contrast with some weak sunshine and I was able to get out for a walk. Forecast for the rest of the week is dire with flash flood warnings for lots of places. Glad we're high up.

Have a positive happy day

I think there is much more sodium in foods we eat when we are "out and about." That's my theory anyway and I'm sticking to it!!! Still, your progress looks GORGEOUS my friend!! My, you do have a lot going on in your life. I hope all humans and animals fare well and the tension passes quickly. I just spent MORE money buying a few items ... because I was swimming in my winter sweaters. Hubby says they look fine but I felt like a homeless person!! LOL!! I spent most of my adult life wearing baggy clothes because I was FAT ... now that I have a little bit of a shape ... well ... I don't want to hide it so much!! Take care of yourself!!
