I'm a repeat offender, a whiner, a tall-promise-maker-with-inconsistent-delivery-track!!!! Yeah, I have no idea what's wrong with me!!! I just can't seem to get my mojo back! I've let myself slide completely and can't seem to rein it in! I stopped going to the gym...I do schlep my gym back back-and-forth each day from home to work and back but seem to by-pass the gym...for no apparent reason!!
Now I am dreading how out of shape I'm going to feel when I do show up there!! And as a result, I'm in this self-perpetuating vicious cycle! Plus, I worry that I have missed TONS of classes, so I'm going to be set back and out of place with the rest of the classes, esp. Tai chi, swimming, etc. At least the toning and spinning classes shouldn't be too bad to get back to...

Other than that, the food fetish has gotten completely out of hand. I've rediscovered CARBS and can't seem to stop!! I may start my day out right with a high protein or veggie breakfast or lunch like an omelet or a salad, but by dinner time I completely throw in the towel and eat all kinds of junk...chinese, pizza, breadsticks, pringles, goldfish etc...Dinners out, parties, and other social events have resulted in total food-orgy--no denial or dieting...I eat chips, appetizers, desserts, breads, and whatever junk they're serving up!!! I have been drinking on and off too..although not too much..I had a beer recently, and a couple times a couple of glasss of wine etc.

I JUST NEED TO GET BACK ON TRACK!!! INSTEAD OF GETTING TO MY FINAL GOAL WEIGHT, I"VE THROWN IN THE TOWEL AND HAVE BEEN SLOWLY GETTING FATTER!!! Even though the scale doesn't show much damage, I FEEL myself getting fat! My pictures look heavier than even 2-3 weeks ago! I really need to do damage-control AND FAST!!! I still have time to get back to business and lose all the weight and develop great habits by the time this year is done in the next 2.5 months!!!

So, once again, I pray and take God's name, and start afresh. Need to lose about 17-20 pds by the end of this year. ONLY STRICT DIETING WILL HELP!!!! I have so much to aspire for:
1) to look sexy by my chicago trip and halloween party next week.
2) to feel fit to go hiking etc. on my NYC trip 2 weeks later.
3) to look stunning and fabulous, completely transformed at my annual convention where I have to put my best foot forward this year most of all..in New Orleans by Nov 18th
4) to look hawt around my extended relatives around thanksgiving (so they'd stop judging me!)
5) and above all, to look the best shape of my life when I visit India on Dec. 9th!!!

I CAN'T HAVE COME THIS FAR AND LET IT ALL GO TO HELL!!! I NEED TO LOOK FABULOUS!!!! NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED!
NO GREAT THINGS IN LIFE ARE ACHIEVED WITHOUT PAIN AND SACRIFICE!!! SO HERE GOES!!!!

Tomorrow's plan:
8-9.30 am: gym
Just to get over the fear of going to the gym, so I'll start easy and do a full set of weight training:
Bicep curls: 3 sets on bozu ball with 10 pds weights (holding up each side), 15 reps
shoulders side and front: 3 sets, 5-8 pds, 15 reps
tricep raises: 3 sets, 8 pds, 15 reps
tricep raise and push back on bench: 3 sets, 8 pds, 15 reps
chest: 30 pds, 15 reps, 3 sets
machine squats: 45 pds, 15 reps, 3 sets
lunges: front, side, back: 3 sets each, 15 reps, 8 pds
calves: 30 pds, 15 reps, 3 sets
Quads/leg raises: 10 pds,15 reps, 3 sets
Abs: crunches 50
obliques: 20 reps, 3 sets, 8 pd ball

Lunch: light, possibly a salad and something protein

evening: cardio with a zumba class


GOD HELP ME!!!!

I wish you luck with the workout. I to need to start working out too. I have no excuse my tredmill is in the middle of my living room.

Maybe if you gently get back into the exercising? Could be it was a little too much, and you just need a slightly less jam-packed workout routine. Good luck! You know you can do it. :)

Amryk is right.....don't fill your plate up with too much exercise.....or too much food.....LOL. NEVER GIVE UP! Keep trying!!! :)

You're journal posting sounds so familiar. I love that you wrote out your game plan. I'm going to do the same and carry it with me so that I remember what it is when I am off line. I've seen your motivation and success before. I know that you can do it!

Whatever you did that got you here, try something different. Think differently, act differently. Insanity is repeatedly doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results (for got who quoted that). Good luck!

girl we seem to be in the same boat! i'm really struggling not with the diet part but the exercise part, as i said in my journal entry, i think its gone on vacation or something. i know i need to but i just can't seem to come up with the enthusiasm to do so. i'm teetering here, it's nice to know that there are others out there struggling with some of the same issues. i'm tired of beating myself up over this, i wish the scale would move again. well let us not give up, this too shall pass as they say and hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel is close by. good luck friend, wishing you success this week!
