Yikes sometimes it's difficult to get enough calories, yesterday after having eaten all 6 of my medifast meals and my lean and green I was still under 1000, I ended up eating 1.5 slices of reduced fat Swiss cheese to bring me up to 1050 but that was still well short of my 1200 calorie target.

When I went through Medifast last year I had a lot of issues losing weight consistently, started with the standard 5+1, then tried a 5+2 (2 lean & greens) and then finally found that a 6+1 & I ended up losing a bit over 60lbs the first time around. I've found that on average I lose an extra pound per week at 1200 calories/day than I do at 1000/calories per day. It usually means an extra ounce or so of lean, some extra healthy fat or even some low/non fat dairy I don't buy into the whole "carbs are bad" thing by a long shot, most of your carbs on the diet come from the medifast meals, I know for a fact that I do much better at 6+1 than I do at 5+1 even though that means more carbs.

desteni not everyone has the same requirements, if the standard 5+1 is getting your results then by all means stick with it. I just found that it didn't work with me and tried different things until I found what did.
