My dear. Listen to me!! 😜 I had shingles two months ago. AWFUL!! Absolutely get the second shot. A mild reaction is much better than total agony like I endured. I can’t get the vaccine in Canada til I’m 50 and now because I had shingles, it has to be a year past being infected. So July 2024! Poke me!! 😂😂

I'm with wifey. I have had shingles 3xs. The first time was B4 they were readily using the vaccine. I broke out so bad in my back I couldn't wear clothes! It was the worst! The pain is unbearable! I hope you feel better and take care!💜💜💜

So sorry to hear that you’re in pain. Those vaccines really suck but I know they’re meant to protect but when I took the pneumonia vaccine I couldn’t move my damn arm for three days, Ice-T arm and keep moving it. That’s the trick. I hope you feel better soon..🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sorry you reacted badly to the vaccine, but important that you finish the series. Last year I foolishly did 4 at the same time, COVID, flu, pneumonia & shingles. Hahaha, what was I thinking? Anyway, survived that, but never again. Hope you recover fully today. 💖

I felt bad about the first shingles vaccine. It didn’t last long. Hope that’s the case for you too.

Oh no! I never had any issues with either shot for shingles but have heard from others I know that they reacted to the second shot so hopefully you just got it out of the way! Now I have not had the pneumonia shot but was going to check on that at my next visit with my primary doctor since I am turning 60.

Wifey and Diana that’s AWFUL! My pharmacist sat me down about six months ago and said she didnt realize i was 59 (now 60) and that i MUST get these vaccines. I procrastinated because she said I would probably get sick for a day or two. Boy was she right. I went to bed around 10 pm two nights ago and slept till 6 pm yesterday and back out at 11 until 10 am this am. Arm hurt like a mother and nausea and my inner fatkid fatigue. So sorry you both went thru that. Wifey i think we have to wait till we are 50 here also. You, my friend, are still a baby 🥰

Ocean thank you. I knew there was a reason i procrastinated.

SHIRFLEUR what were you thinking? I did the booster and flu vaccine together and pharmacist wouldn’t let me add anymore at that time. You crazy girl🥰

RPL i passed the pharmacy tech on my walk today and her husband said the second shot will be worse😂. Gee, thanks for that!! So funny because most of my life i didnt worry about flu shots etc but as im getting older im realizing im part of the vulnerable population (lungs) and should be more proactive. Happy birthday and welcome to the 6 decade club my love

Definitely agree with a few others; I had shingles twice myself, and have a friend with permanent nerve damage in her head and face from a bad case. Glad it’s lightening up for you hun! You’ve been through enough for sure!

Thanks daddy m. How are things with the baby calf you thought you were going to keep?

Cass, IVE only ever known one person who had shingles. Im so surprised to see how many folks on here have experienced it. It’s reinforcing in myself it was a good decision to do. Will definitely take the follow up shot. Sorry you went thru that🥵

Are you referring to Alphaeus? He is a spoiled big little calf. He runs up to get his neck brushed and scratched and constantly is seeking a treat. I mixed some supplement in with his treat once and he didn’t like that one bit. Still a pot bellied guy compared to his twin. I am looking forward to how he reacts with two new bull role models for him.
