Thanks OTB! It's been a life long dream. People at work have been very encouraging, so I went for it. The base is 2 hours from my house, but it would be a foot in the door.

I'm a retired critical care nurse - ICU, CCU, trauma, dialysis. I did one air evac once years ago before they started hiring their own nurses. I later worked as a mobile trauma nurse but on land. Transferred patients that didn't want to go by air or couldn't from 5 hospitals in 3 counties to several hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri or Springfield, Illinois. Mostly Barnes. I enjoyed it. Morticia, Wow! Sounds like you got some amazong experience! I worked at a level 1 trauma center, in their trauma ICU. It was fun and a lot of stress. That was my first nursing job! Everyone I work with is very encouraging, but I'm still nervous and scared!
