Dog Story: Our new neighbors have a pit bull. Last night our worst fears were realized when he got out and came through the hedge onto our yard while Pound Puppy was outside.

Turns out we were worried for nothing. Pound Puppy growled ferociously and chased the pit back into his own yard with his tail between his legs. The sad part is that we then had to punish him for going into our neighbor's yard.

Buffy, please remember too, dogs are not born bad, they are bred bad. The fact that the other dog is a Pit doesn't guarantee aggression - I've known some wonderful ones. I'm glad your pup showed him who was boss though - great job protecting his property and people. As for crossing the line, he just wanted to make sure the other dog got the point!

Bethlauren - I certainly have to agree. But these are new neighbors and we knew nothing about their dog.

BuffyBear, We have a Boerboel who does the same thing with our neighbors teeny weeny little dog who actually bullies Him! Dynamite comes in small packages. We have 6 ankle snappers (dachshunds & jack Russell's) a Boerboel and a Labrador (lucky we live on a farm)#animallover

My pup (half Boston Terrier) started my day off yesterday by hiding under my car in the garage, and refused to come out! Not to treats, toys, her leash (she loves walks) she finally decided to go back outside which I grabbed her put her on her leash and brought her inside. My only way to the backyard is through the garage. It was like she did not want me to go to work! She acts so happy on mornings when the alarm doesn't go off.
