sbrunn's Journal, 13 July 2011

so, I had my beautiful baby boy on December 25 2010, he is almost 7months and I lost only 10 lbs. I work out every day, doing kickboxing and started training to do half a marathon, but I feel that my weight is not moving anywhere... I am so frustrated and upset that week after week, I have been watching what I am eating, excersising every day and no results. shouldn't I be loosing all the baby weight I have gained!!!about 40lbs!!! I am not giving up, I might just need to lower my food intake, but I do feel hungry all the time.

Are you nursing? If not, than you need to find a good caloric intake that will help you lose but keep your muscles fueled for the workout. Do some research in to fat loss and nutrition. If you exercise a lot, you may see the fat loss before you see much movement on the scale. It depends on many factors including genetics. Get plenty of lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Watch out for too much processed stuff. You might try eating 5 or 6 smaller meals a day with some protein at each meal. You could try zig zagging calories (high and low days). For example: 1200, 1400, 1600, 1300, etc. I get motivation from reading articles on line and magazines. I like Oxygen magazine and Hers Muscle and Fitness. Shape is also pretty good. They have good recipes and great articles in to fat loss and getting in shape. Keep track of your measurements and look at the big picture. You are getting lean and healthy. You might only see ten on the scale but you may have lost lot's of fat/inches. Keep changing things up and keep going. You will eventually get to your goal.

first, thank you so much for your advice. I stopped nursing 3months ago and I started the new weightwatchers program, I have 29points a day but I feel maybe it is too much. with the old program I lost more weight. two years ago I had my first baby girl and it took me one year to loose all the pregnancy weight(55lbs) thanks to the old program. this time I feel it is not working for me. I will try the 1200 calories a day diet and see how it goes...:)
