Showing a two pound weight loss this morning (226.6 down to 224.6). Very pleased with a loss during Thanksgiving week! So far, my daily calories for the week are averaging 1,560. So far, I've only had creme brulee for desserts (217 calories) instead of the Chocolate Pecan Pie (370 calories) or Rum Cake (443 calories). I'm also trying to eat these giant navel oranges I bought - about 265 grams each (130 calories)! There were no good-looking melons at the store last week. I miss my bowl of melon (71 calories).

I almost blew it with my walking yesterday! I got in 1 mile before I went to pick up my grandson for the day and to spend the night. I picked him up McDonalds to eat at the house before I took him to get an eye test and pick out glasses; then he jumped on the trampoline, blew up balloons and played with them, planted 9 aloe plants (he loved putting the soil into the pots and placing the aloe leaf), he played with all the musical animals under the tree (all the different songs playing at the same time!), waited for the candles to come on in the windows at 4:45, then screamed "Merry Christmas" at the top of his lungs. In other words, we were very busy. If I hadn't taken a moment to check my To Do list, I would surely have forgotten that I still had a half mile to walk to meet my goal. Thankfully, I got the walking in - day 21 of walking 1.5 mile and day 32 of getting in at least a mile!

Looking forward to a turkey sandwich today for lunch (yesterday, I had leftover turkey (2oz, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing and Amaretto yams (1/3 cup each). I'm allowing for TWO Tablespoons of mayonnaise on the sandwich, and I'm going to have six Ruffles potato chips with it (total calories for lunch (539). I usually like to keep each meal around 400 calories, but the day after Thanksgiving is a special day.
