I had my latest visit with my endocrinologist today. She is very excited about my progress (weight loss, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, etc). I was hoping for more improvement in my HbA1c, but it DID improve.
Her one note is for me to eat more calories. She believes I am pounding on my body too hard (few calories and the exercise). I am going to increase to 2000 /day. My running times have decreased and I am afraid I might be burning muscle rather than fat.
I will increase for 3-4 weeks and see if I can maintain my weight and add some muscle. We shall see.
