Ohh I started with 135 said hey this ain't too bad threw 50 more on and things changed a whole hell of alot got like 3 reps then went back to 135 adding some more back on now hahah

Your shoes are pushing you forward. Take them off. Also, barefoot goblet squats will get your hips nice and limber. Stretch your calves. Looks good.

ARE I was in the middle of some sets of calf raises when I saw this I was done with squats for the night but wanted to give the no shoes thing a try. WOW what a difference I still had my heals on those 5 pound plates to get them off the ground a but it felt so much more natural and your right it was pushing me forward. so thank you once again for helping me progress and now Im going to have to do another set for good measure so when I can barely walk tommorow I know who to thank and blame at the same time hahah

Awesome I bumped it back up to 185 and it was way easier that way and I was able push out more reps. I really better stop with squats for tonight 😆

Yea normally people don’t like barefoot. But there’s so much stability. I go barefoot on everything now 😂

Yeah, flat shoes like Converse or barefoot work better than using tennis shoes.

when I started raising my heel up a few months ago by standing on the plates I was able to go deeper much easier so going barefoot so that my heel ends up lower seems very counter Intuitive in my mind but I still don't know crap about what's right or wrong and it most Deffinitly worked like a charm.
