weird day of TRANSITION today. Yes, transition into my self-sequestered program of action for a month! Starting today, I have decided to cut off all the social activities for a month, and isolate myself and just work on these deadlines and go work out. Sounds horrible, but it is not..it is do-able. I had to do that in the last month of my doctoral days, and I can do this again...I need a distraction-free, isolated time to work. However, this should not be a time to eat bad and let myself go. Thus, I have planned daily workout times, meal times to cook and eat, and then all others as work times. Everything else will have to wait!

Day 1 was a little wacky, but I'll write it off to transition and adjusting. I got very little sleep last night, so I took couple of short naps in the day. Writing came along well. For meals, I managed to get a hold of wheat thin crackers (yeah, yeah! I can already hear you all start tut-tut ing! Stupid move, i know!)...but guess what, I had 2-3 servings of this...AND later found my box of nuts..so I had a few of those AGAIN!!! Good news is, I threw out the rest of the box of the crackers (haven't had the heart to throw out the nuts). Other than this, I just had a smoothie of 5 pts, coffee with creamer, little bit of chick pea curry and 1/2 a flat bread (2 pts total).

Tonight I expected to see a gain, but so far so good. Oh, I also bailed on the gym.

All this gotta shake out and be different tomorrow. I plan to go to bed in 10 mins, i.e., at 11.30 pm and wake up at 6 am. Eat well, drink lots of water, work out from 12-2, and get my paper written up.

I like this plan, I've been most successful when I did the same (many years ago). You barely ate yesterday so I don't think the wheat thins & nuts did any damage b/c of that. Hope you stick to your plan today!

Seeing as you already heard me tut-tut-ing, no need to give a full blown capitalized exclamation, but.... do find the heart to throw out those nuts, especially if there's anything more than a handful left! I am making a pact with myself to not buy anymore carby snack foods and I'm going to put the plan into high gear after the company I'm expecting around the end of the month leaves (hard to deny your company, especially when there are kids involved). So why not make the most of your sequestering and do a clean sweep of all your cupboards? Set yourself up for success! You don't get an opportunity to do this sequestering very often. Take FULL advantage!

Sequestering? Sounds like my life! :) But you can't shut yourself away in the same place with NUTS! Throw them away! Call someone to come get them! Throw them in the grass for the squirrels! Can't wait to hear how today went! I love the plan, and I want to love the follow-thru!
