HealthyBabs's Journal, 04 June 2011

I forgot to add the peanut butter cookie I ate last night, oops. Just went back and added it and WOW, went way over on my fat and carbs. I can not buy those darn cookies anymore, but they are so yummy that this little local bakery makes. I guess I can consider yesterday a spike day!! Not interested in buying those 100 cal pack things...if I am gonna have a cookie, it is going to be a really good cookie!!

Maybe the spike yesterday will help jolt the scale back into action. I am at the same weight I was at last week (250) before 4 consecutive days of more than -3500 net calories/day. What gives!!!

Hey Babs - it all gets so confusing!! I agree about food - calories are too darn precious to waste of rubbish food!! Eat well and make every calorie a good one :)

Good morning Babs...we have all been there let me tell ya! I completely understand and I agree, if I am going to eat a cookie or donut, it is going to be a really, really good one! Have a great day and enjoy your weekend!

Babs, some food for thought- I think you might be under eating. When your deficits are too large, your body clings to weight. I've looked at my past stats and seen that I do just as well on the scale in months when I run deficits of 600 calories a day as I do when I run 1100 calorie ones. You might want to do some experimenting and see what results you get with slightly higher levels of calories. 1200-1300 calories a day is not much at all at your weight and with the amount of weight you want to lose still, you really don't have much room to cut your calorie levels more. Something to think about, in any case.

Hi, Babs. Hey, we all hit those plateaus (did I spell that right?). Take a deep breath, (enjoy that ONE cookie), and just keep on keeping on. You'll make it.

gnat, you read my mind. Babs, I was just checking your diet calendar and I think you might benefit by upping your calories to between 1600 and 1800 a day.

Babs - when you get it figured out, please let the rest of us know! And I agree - don't know who can eat that "diet food".

I agree with you Babs. If I am going to eat a cookie, I am going to have a real damn cookie lol no fakes for me thanks. Its the same with bacon and pretty much everything else. Too bad you went over yesterday but you have a great attitude, and I am sure one cookie is not going to hurt you too much.

I also agree. If I were to have a cookie, it'd be the real thing and not some processed item in a bag.

Peanut Butter cookies are one of my faves, so I understand your desire for them. I just recently upped my calories because I am so active almost daily, plus some changes at the gym, so we'll see what happens. But if you want a cookie... go for the real thing!!! Have a great Sunday Babs!

gnat & stef, thanks for the suggestion on upping the calories. I am going to do that and see what happens. Already worked out menus for tomorrow and Monday. Will see how this goes.

Hi, Babs! I must agree with you and the others that having a real wonderfully baked cookie or whatever is far preferable to eating lower calorie imitations! As for your caloric intake, I have noticed that you have been rather low here lately. Have a wonderful Sunday!
