Did only 30 mins of workout today, but continued my running streak, so all's good. Did 2.22 miles on the treadmill, with 14.5 mins average for a mile. BTW, yesterday's stats were a little better. For a total 2 hours in my new gym, I somehow worked out for 1 hour and 20 mins --where the heck did the time go?! Did 30 mins of walk/run on treadmill, 20 mins on bike, 15 mins on the cross-trainer, and 15 mins on the rowing machine. Oh! one new improvement: I'm bumped up my running speed to a periodic 6.0-6.5 mph!

I tried to be good yesterday with food, but my confusion between deciding on points vs. carbs, and monitoring for fat, cals, carbs, etc. caught up with me and as a result, more carbs ingested, along with more fats than what's good for me:

Pre-workout: soy milk and protein pwd
post-workout: fruit smoothie made with 2% milk and honey
late lunch: lentil soup and 1/2 pita
dinner: 1/2 blue cheese salad with chunks of blue cheese and dressing and diet coke (resisted the wine in the wine bar!!)
late evening, after 3 other bars, i succumbed and settled for a glass of wine and hummus with lots of warm pita!!!!

Last night's shananigans with carbs didn't appear to cost me much today (thank god!), as I didn't see a gain this morning!!! I planned on doing a 3 hour workout to make up for any potential gain, but ended up doing on the 30 mins described above.

Food today was my left over blue cheese salad, 2 cups of coffee with cream, lots of mozzarella cheese on a caprese salad as well as a sandwitch on a flat out bread. And also had a protein shake. Still can't count how many carbs, calories, or fats all that added to!!!

From tomorrow,
1)I need to start early morning workouts at my new gym,
2) re-start a stricter vigil of the carbs count (20 net carbs + 1 piece of fruit daily).

I'm surprised AND PROUD that you were able to do the intermittent running at such high speeds! I have seen you jog at 4.5 and thought that would be the highest you'd ever go with those short lil legs! You'll be ready to enter the race by late summer! yipeeee!

oh my, old aging is catching up with you already!!I know your spine's curving, hearing's going...and now, you can't see too well either!!! God, girl, save some for when you get to be 80!!!

ok! first off, lil MIGIT...My spine is curving because I have to bend so far over to see you! My hearing's not going, i'm just pretending not to hear you nag at me! After the 6th hour of your crap, I can't take it anymore! and as for seeing...it's a little hard to see you sometimes, you're so small! Gimme a break! LOL

Geez....sounds like if I ever get to meet you and BA in person, I'll feel like a GIANT! LOL :) Hummus and pita bread = Yummy! (Hope that's low carb pita bread my dear). Great job on bumping up that running speed. What kind of program is the personal trainer putting you on?
