Today is day 7 of not working out... :( Most of you don't know, and wouldn't know... but I underwent a hernia repair procedure last Friday. I therefore have NOT worked out since last Wednesday (couldn't get to the gym on Thursday). I have not officially weighed in here, but I KNOW that I'm up from my posted weight here. It's not HORRIBLE, but I am up from this posted weight. I'm sure much of it is water weight gain from NOT working out, but I'm still not happy that I cannot work out.

I am feeling better EVERY day... so, I am HOPEFUL to get into the gym for a light workout tomorrow... but no later than Monday. It's HELL getting old... two surgeries within the past 3 months have set me back from the GREAT feeling of being healthy and in shape, BUT I will NOT be deterred from getting back into that GREAT feeling I get after every workout... I miss it. The "high" I get from a good daily work out will be the ONLY thing that gets me through the next 6 months of MICHIGAN's long, dark, cold, dreary wintery days... :-/

I wish everyone a GREAT Thursday, and a WONDERFUL rest of your week!

:-)

I'm sure it's frustrating having the weight gain, but it's temporary. You'll get back to business and be able to get your workouts done soon. I had a hernia repair years ago, give it time to heal up and all will be well. I know what you mean about the dark days of Winter, I hate the time change. 7pm rolls around and it seems like it's bedtime. My wife suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder and has a tough time. The bright side is that in another month and a half the days will start to get longer again. Have a great day.

Thanks Jim... I'll be back at it sooner than later. Good luck to your wife... it IS a tough time of year when it FEELS like mid-night, and it's only 630! DUOH!!!!
