ChocolateBunny's Journal, 21 May 2009

Today was a good day as far as eating goes. Usually I'm ravenous when Aunt Dot is in town, but this time around I'm pretty satiated. I didn't do Taebo like I planned, but I did get my butt up and dance around to Beyonce for a little bit. I at least worked up a nice sweat. I don't think I ate enough today. That's one of my struggles once I get into "diet mode". I UNDEReat as a way to stick to my diet but it ends up blowing up in my face because all it does is cause my metabolism to plummet and leave me starving with little to no energy. I don't feel as if I don't have enough energy, but I know that I have to eat in order to lose weight at a steady, healthy pace. Dropping ten pounds in a week only to gain fifteen the next week is soooo not what I'm trying to do this time around.

I'm going to eat more tomorrow, I promise. As well as do Taebo.

sounds like you've found your culprit...have you tried meal planning? might want to give it a go. and set your phone to remind you to eat a snack or whatever, just to keep you from bottom-ing out. good luck, and let us know how tae bo goes!

Not eating enough can definitely derail any progress we make, so good for you for recognizing that and being vigilant about fixing it. You sound like you're on the right track...keep it up.

aw this is exactly what I wrote about yesterday. you should try planning your meals a day ahead. it works, plus you know how many calories you consume before hand.

I think I am going to try meal planning. Or giving myself a set amount of calories a day and not going under them, no matter what. Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement guys, I appreciate it so much.

Remember that healthy weight loss takes time. But overall you want to be healthier. Being slimmer doesn't necessarily mean being healthier. If so, drug users, people with eating disorders, etc, would be way more healthier than anyone. But what you want to stive for is being as healthy as you can everyday. Weight loss is only just one of the benefits of being healthier...not the main ingredient. So focus of health first and weight loss second. I wish you well buddy
