Sleep! I switched from straight rain on my ipod (which did work well for quite awhile) to something designed to put me into delta sleep. Wow! Best sleep I've had in months and I'm down more than a lb. Your body does a whole lot of house keeping during the deep sleep. Some people feel fibromyalgia (which I've got) is just a slepe disorder where your tissue doesn't get the chance to clear. And pain really messes with your sleep, too, so it's a cycle. Throw in work stress and other stuff and I was really struggling. I tried melatonin but I even woke up multiple times (4+) on that! The switch in sound seemed to work. The only time I woke up was when my husband when in and out the door (he's still struggling with a sinus infection). I was up at 5, raring to go. It's just 8:30 and I've already got 6000 steps for the day.

I had an ex-sis in law with fibromyalga and she was fit, beautiful (actually on the cover of several magazines), ate well, exercised and still in so much pain from that. My heart goes out to you. I'm glad you found a sound that is helping. You are so right, I love your analogy of how the body does all that housekeeping while we sleep. Woo hooo, so glad you had a good nights sleep!
