That's it. I wasn't hungry, but looked at my calories and thought man, I am like 1500 below what I burned today, "Ooooh, don't want my body to think it is starving." So I ate more, mostly fats, only 2 carbs in it, and very low quality protein.

POOF HUNGERY......spiked the insulin feeling on 2 net carbs of avocado and some Piggy Puffs.

Yeah, great, now instead of burning ketones tonight, I will be burning protein converted to carbs I suppose, ie what I ate, if I am lucky enough to not just store it as fat. And probably will end up for the first part of the week, going back through the several days of hunger nonsense while I readapt to keto metabolism. Good going. Did so good all weekend.

Have decided however that sorry, total carbs of 20 is unattainable for me, because giving up fiber just leaves me constipated. So I am back to looking at net carbs, feeling better, and looks like I lost back to what I had a week or so ago before I tried that silly attempt.

Also discovered that eating a whole avocado at a time used to work for me, but now it is just too much soluable fiber at once, which has it's own issues....TMI there.

Also discovered that part of why I am struggling to not dehydrate, in spite of a more than adequate water intake is due to not enough salt. Low carb diets cause kidneys to dump more salt than high carb diets. It is hard for me to remember to eat salt, because pretty much I eat whole, real foods, which generally do not have salt as part of them.

On the plus, birthday cake, fries, white gravy etc had no appeal at all to me at Sherry & Kendrick's birthday today. Especially when I knew I have only 20 net carbs, and planned to have a cup of chili and beans in the evening which would take most of what I had not eaten yet for the day. I was not hungry at the party, but ordered and ate because I figure I have to eat something, if I do not want body to believe starving and turn back the metabolism to survival mode.

The fact it turned out the chili was eaten by rest of family this evening before I got to it was irrelevant to me, in that I was not hungry. Until I decided to eat. Silly.

Would have been a good long intermittent fast thru tomorrow morning, as had not eaten since the party at 2. Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

Labs I was supposed to have had Friday were cancelled due to lab tech out. Rescheduled for this Friday.
