Woke up to a big surprise this morning. TOM, 6 days early. I was shocked and almost couldn't comprehend what was going on. Then I pulled myself together.

This is a huge blow to me, because that means I can't do anything. TOM is a terrible time for me. My body pains are insane and I don't feel like doing anything. Everything hurts. I need to get it checked out and do something about it (i.e. go on the pill) but I had some health complications last year and that coupled with no medical insurance, is too hard for me to be able to afford the doctor visits and the perscription.

My insides are all jumbled up. I feel like my stomach is a wet t-shirt being wrung out. Also, a new lady started in my department and she's wearing terrible perfume. Not that it smells bad, which it does, but it seems as though she's taking a shower in it. Our offices are on the second floor and you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to our desks, and I smell it as soon as I walk into the office on the first floor. That coupled with my cramps is making me physically ill. I don't know what to do about it. I hate complaining to management, but it's gross.

In other words, I'm not weighing in until Friday because I'm sure that nothing good with come of it until I get this out of my system. I am so cranky. I can barely function. Oh well, I hope that I was retaining some water because I need to see a drop. This up and down is making me nuts!

I hope you feel better soon, poor thing. :-( Do you have a Planned Parenthood in your area? I used to get birth control pills from them for about $9 a month.

Thanks for the info! I think this would definitely be good to add to my routine. I'm a full time nanny for a five month old (I quit my 'grown up' job recently), and this is something I could do AT WORK. So let's get real, what excuse do I actually have? Not to mention I'd be carrying a 15 lbs baby harnessed to my front! I have a gym membership, and I've really been considering if I want to keep it. I'm sorry to hear about the nastiness that comes with TOM. That's what I woke up to this morning, but fortunately it doesn't affect me like that (it just makes me feel incredibly... well, fat). Good luck! PS - I've been meaning to mention how adorable (and slender!) you look in your photo :)

I hope the next few days become a little less painful for you. I'd definately see if you have a planned parenthood or any clinics in your area that could help you with getting cheaper birth control to control the cramps.

Man, i used to have periods like that until i started on BC. I went from 7-9 day periods with debilitating cramps to 2-3 day periods with occasional mild cramping. Birth control is a god send, it really is!
