Do you have any ridiculous food habits? Like I literally started stuffing my face with whatever was within reach for me when my brood of chitlins were revolting. A kid would be malfunctioning and I’d be munching down on cereal, crackers, anything with a crunch. It turned into pea pods and carrots, broccoli cauliflower and celery sticks. Idk if it’s because I am ND being a huge fan of the crunch and so my entire meal was based on crunchy green apples. Way more bang for your buck volume wise for food, compared with the tiny amount you can eat of chips etc. so, I say take a big portion of fresh fruit and vegetables and be mindful of WHY you’re eating. If it’s not actually physical hunger, then I’ll be dissecting that as well. Food log offline is strong 💪 Also, giving up scales for a “fast.”

I eat a bunch of flavored dry seaweed instead of chips for that initial crunch. (The taste and texture after that is totally different obviously .) 🌱

Kay, I haven't figured it out in detail, like you have, but my sister and I have talked about the whole comfort aspect of eating when not hungry and/or stressed. Apples have been my replacement for sweets the last few days. Habits, they certainly need our attention, don't they. 💕

Kay before I started high protein low carb I would be on a serious binge eating mission. It didn't matter if it was cheetos, Oreo cookies, or just dinner meals. I always wanted more to eat and I couldn't stop myself. Now I actually force myself to stop and take a breather. I put the fork down and quit. And where I have a habit of eating fast, it helps with that too.

Cc: I have a sissy too and we both have BED among others and the commonality is a rocky relationship with food growing up and it follows to your 30’s. I choose not to use food for comfort as often as I, say, vape or run or mop or do a Pilates session. Which is hard for me bc I always think 💭 ice cream 🍦

Difficult to resist temptation of sweets if in the house. If not, I don’t crave them though.

\or.... every time you reel hungry drink a pint of water first, and wait 10 minutes ... you'll know then if its true hunger?

Sometimes I start thinking about a food item that was not a staple of my diet or even something I ate on rare occassions. They are not triggered by someones food post or any other visual sense. The last one I had was for bbq potatoe chips something from childhood 50 years ago. I am almost 62. Another one was rice krispy bars. Something I always thought was too sweet and not a treat of choice. I indulged in both. I have eliminated many things from my diet so I think since my brain now discounts those as choices it searches for new options !!

are we talking nude cereal-eating on a unicycle or that I like to put bananas in chili type stuff? I'll let you guess which one is true.
