Happy Friday! It's tip time again!

I wanted to list the things that I think contributed to me meeting my weight loss goals in hopes that it may help someone else. And please remember, this is what has worked for ME, your mileage will vary. I will post one tip per weekday.

Tip 11 of 25

Have an easy “go to” meal that fits your diet. Ensure that you always have the ingredients for it at home. This way, when you can’t find a healthy choice or don’t feel like preparing a large meal, you can fall back on your “go to” meal instead of making bad food choices. My “go to” meal is an omelet. I always have eggs, butter and cream on hand and since you can put almost anything in an omelet your set to go with just the main ingredients. Do you have a go to meal?

It's SUPER yummy....3 oz cubed&cooked chicken breast, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/4 cup slivered almonds, 1 bag broccoli slaw, 1 TBSP seeds (I use sesame but you could use hemp or flax if you wanted)...all mixed together with your sauce (1 TBSP Truvia, 1/8-1/4 cup coconut oil, 1 tsp ground pepper, 1/2 cup vinegar of your choosing, and 1 TBSP low sodium soy sauce)..you can alter the sweetness, bitterness, oilyness etc for your own taste obviously...I like my a bit more bitter so I kinda play around with the amount of vinegar

My go to is chicken vegetable soup. I always have boneless skinless chicken breast and mixed vegs in the freezer ~ add water and while I shower and rethink my hunger.. the soup brews. And there's always some in the fridge for the next night, lunch, etc.

They should have the broccoli slaw mix by the regular cabbage slaw mix bags at the store...otherwise I've gotten the triple-colored cabbage slaw before too...

NO prob! I always make a big batch and if I'm in a hurry I know it's got all my foods covered! The vinegar kinda makes the red cabbage bleed a little so don't worry if it does! :)

4 eggs and 4 slices of uncured turkey bacon. My go-to post workout meal. :)

Eggs are always my go to also, I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge at all times, they are great to take to work! I also keep the broccoli slaw or bagged cole slaw in the fridge but I just eat a bowl full with my wishbone home made dressing on it made with olive oil and red wine vinegar. If I eat a bowl of this when I get home from work then I"m not so hungry at dinner (we eat late) that I go overboard!
