Interestingly - there are debates in the medical communities about exercise. It is obviously good for you! Good for you to get into shape, good to build muscle which burns more efficiently your calories throughout the day, good for your cardiovascular system, ...and you typically begin to look better as the weight comes off and reveals more toned muscles and such... On the other hand, some dr.'s and studies reveal that exercise in and of itself doesn't necessarily add to your 'weightloss'...as it 'builds up an appetite' and you typically ingest just about the same in extra calories after exercising, than you do in what you burned off! But that's OK - if the rest of your nutrition is centered on eating healthy, and just slightly in deficit to your overall daily needs. (in other words, your daily diet will cause the weight loss...your daily exercise will improve your overall health, and habits that will maintain your losses!)

Hey Buffy - sorry I can't help you here - I did not do any exercise when I did Atkins :(

I think after your body gets used to you exercising the hunger may get less intense. Of course my main one is walking....Bren

Thanks for all your comments - I need to exercise (bone & heart health reasons) even if it slows my rate.
