1K calories is alright, by me, especially if one is sedentary or semi-sedentary. Like me, I cannot be as active as I once was, Once Upon A Time, so, I do what my body/mind/spirit allow me to do daily. I go for walks, mostly, but I do luv and hour of good aerobics/cardio. Like Taurielfan said, "that 20% is important". I too concur w/that sentiment wholeheartedly and then some. Don't ever forget, the heart is the most important muscle that must be conditioned by cardio/aerobics for at least 20-30 minutes 3-5 days per week in intervals or up to an hour total. Stretching is just as important to keep the muscles, nerves, skin, bones, tendons, etc. flexible and pliable enough so that we may continue accomplishing our daily tasks that we take for granted like; Standing, Sitting, Walking, Bending, Twisting, Turning, and so on and so forth. Very enlightening subject you got going here Mr. =)

Also, the overweight/obese individuals is NO JOKE! They struggle everyday w/ themselves and what not to eat and what to eat, when, how much. My heart, truly, bleeds for the individuals that eat out of nervousness. They don't have to be starving nor hungry. They just eat whenever they feel they are hungry. Also, Diabetics tend to be hungry alot of the time too. There are many individuals that have one issue or another and I sure hope that the troubled/desperate/tired souls will accomplish all of their goals Godspeed...Amen

Don't listen to me though, I just hate cutting calories and have always hated hearing "80% diet 20% exercise". In my opinion, having a grasp on both is essential for the best results. I've seen the result of just focusing on diet and barely training the body, and the result of training without any attention to what one eats, and neither is optimal.

Definitely not a joke to eat when full, bored, nervous, etc. I find it interesting that some people don’t know that behavior and can’t even imagine eating when full or way beyond full.

Going to start a 5/2 fasting way of eating. I found some of the research on fasting vs calorie reduction quite interesting. Will increase my calories from 1600 to 1900 on the days I'm not fasting.
