Happy that I have accomplished one of my most challenging cycling goals this year. I rode 75 miles last Monday with my cycling team from Spartanburg South Carolina to the base of Mt Mitchell in Marion North Carolina. SOme of my team mates went ahead and climb to the top of Mt Mitchell for another 28 miles and it took them an average of 4 hours to climb those last 28 miles. The ride for me was 75 miles and it took me a little over 5 hours to complete the course. Rested for a couple of days and today I am ready to jump on my bike again. Will be stepping on the scale tomorrow.

Thank you Blue and JParlett. I was a bit nervous about it but it all went well. I did better than expected. I could have done it a bit quicker but there was another teammate that was struggling a bit and I decided to slow down my pace a bit so she wont feel lonely. I can't wait for next year to do it again and try to conquer Mt Mitchell. It took some of the team members 9 hours to complete the 103 miles . The last 27 or so are the hardest because its going up hill all the way to the top of Mt Mitchell, no flat terrain. It was a great experience !..
