Its a girl. The ultrasound says Im due June 26. I wish I could say Im happy happy about the results of my ultrasound, but I am not. I am disappointed. Now that Im all cried out, I can relax.

Here is the skinny: My daughter is fine. My placenta is not. It is completely covering the cervical os and seems to be growing into the uterus. This is really bad. The doctor didnt really have a smile on his face when he presented the info to me.

Im not on bedrest, but I cant have sex or exercise. I have mentioned in the past that I delivered my last baby a month early due to placenta previa and bleeding...it appears this may be my fate this time around...the csection part at least. I just pray I dont have the very rare placenta acretia where an emergent hysterectomy is performed with the csection. When the placenta grows into the uterus, that is the ultimate outcome.
Ill have a repeat ultrasound next month; miracles can happen, and thats what Im praying for.
Im tired; luckily I have my trusty MandMs by my side for comfort :)

You are right miracle do happen all you have to do is pray for them. I am living proof. Doctors said i would never have kids because i had cancer at 13 in my ovaries and chest. I have 2 healthy boys! So good luck and i'm praying for you also!

I'll be praying for you to have a healthy baby and pregnancy. Glenn I don't think she meant she is unhappy about the sex of the baby, but the possible risks. Miracles do happen, Shannon, just keep praying.

I am keeping you and your baby girl in my prayers. At least they are aware of the problem and will monitor it closely. So many miracles happen with babies, and medical technology is amazing. Just do what your doctors tell you and try not to worry too much. Keep us updated. ((HUGS))

I'm sorry Shannon if I misinterpreted about the sex of the baby - no harm meant here - I saw it very frequently when I worked in labor and delivery and maternity as a med tech in the Philippines, after one or two kids the mom and dad - sometimes many more kids wanted a certain sex child, I wish you the best with your baby girl!

omg! I have been MIA and had to run by here to see how that preggo belly was emerging! last thing I expected to hear was anything bad! So, it's imperative that you make a smiley face with those M & M's and think of only good thoughts...that's my prescription for the day, ok??
