TheChunkyOne's Journal, 23 December 2010

I'm recovering from a massive sinus infection, i have never been in so much pain in my entire life, with the exception of child birth of course.

So needless to say i havent been to the gym, and now that tomorrow is Christmas eve and i have SO MUCH to do, i wont be going till next week. I feel like a lazy slob.
My son has also been sick with an ear infection and hasnt been eating much, he doesnt really eat much anyways, but i'm starting to get worried that he has only put on one pound since February, so i've been feeding him any and everything i can get him to eat, which is usually fast food, pizza and chocolate. i HATE to let him eat like that, but whats really important right now is calories, not so much the source of the calories.
The problem with this plan is that i end up eating what ever i'm feeding him, especially the last few days when i've felt too crappy to fix a second meal.
But its Christmas, and i really havent gone crazy, just a tad bit lazy.

And on top of feeling like death, my 3 year old has been a MONSTER!! Whining and throwing a fit about EVERYTHING! Its almost as if he can sense that i'm weak lol

Alright well, i've got a gazillion gifts to wrap!

Kids eat when they are hungry. Try to keep it healthy. Make him protein smoothies if he is underweight. If he isn't, then don't worry so much. Kids eat when they are hungry and their bodies eek out the nutrients they need. If he is sick, the source of the nutrients is really important. The healthier food, the better he can fight infection. We are what we eat is very true. Don't worry about your food too much until you feel better. Our bodies tell us what it needs, we just forgot how to listen to it. Good luck!

thats the thing, he wont eat healthy food. If its something he doesnt like (IE fast food, pizza, fozen chicken nuggets), he usually just doesnt eat. He goes to bed hungry more times than not becuae he refuses to eat anything that i serve him. So i am finally giving in and just feeding what i know he'll eat.
