How do I get back on a basic food plan? I have lost weight this year, but I would really like to get to a goal this next year. Maybe not THE GOAL, but A GOAL. A goal would be to reach 200 and be able to stay there. Have been there before, more than once, but seem unable to stay. This next year, 2011, I PLAN to get there and stay for a while. So, what tools do I need? A food diary on which I will write down everything that goes in my mouth. Exercise, start out slow and work my way up to 30 minutes 5 days a week. Vegetables, lots and lots of vegetables, need to try new ones and tell myself they taste good. Fruits, put them in my food plan, eat them instead of desserts. Less red meat, I grew up on meat and potatoes, so giving up some red meat is difficult, but I can do it. I will try eliminating it for 2 days every week to begin with. Also, I need to drink less soda and more water. I will look to all of you and my weight loss group and buddies for inspiration and when I need support you will be there and I will be there for you.
