geo99's Journal, 25 November 2010

Its been a while since I have written anything. I was just warming some soup in the microwave and while I waited, I did squats. Just as it beeped I realized that I had done 25 squats and was not tired, sore or puffing. I thought back several months and remembered trying to do 10 before dieing. Sometimes we just aren't conscious of the success we are having. The scale will stall and we get upset, but then realize some clothes fit better. Other times the scale seems to go down, but my pants are still tight. One day we look in the mirror and see how much we have lost. The next day we look in the mirror and can only see how much we still have to lose. We are our best enemies and are the only ones who can prevent us from succeeding. Make up your mind to win this war, battle by battle until it's done. No one can stop us. Even when it seems slow or impossible, just keep going. We can do this.

Great journal George! So very true too! We have both come so far so quickly and you are right we at times have a instant gratification mindset that we need to overcome because we've overcome so much already to get just this far! We need to learn to be our best friends rather then our worst enemies. Have a good weekend George!

You are completely right, we can be our bigges frenemies and we shouldn't be but seeing our success' is often over shadowed by our 'failures'.
