GOOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!...day 501..wakin up to like 40 outside this morning...brrr...hate to think summer is over an winter is gettin closer, but its a fact...cool mornings, warm days is how its been for the last several days and thats just the start to it...soon the warm days will go from 70s to 20s and 30s...not really lookin forward to it...but thats all part of livin in the midwest this time of year...my hand is back to normal but decided to take one more day off...as i also pulled a muscle in and around my knee day before yesterday when i went walking..by the time i got done trimmin the shrubs day before yesterday i couldnt hardly bend my knee..so im healin from that also...was hopin to go walkin today, but another day off is in order...i did take it easy yesterday, in fact i didnt cook like i had planned instead i slept most of the day and all nite last night...guess i needed the rest...today is cook day for sure...im out of boiled chicken...so need to boil like 4-5 pieces to get ahead for the upcomin week, might make up some tuna salad, just for a change...ive been takin kraft miracle whip and mixin it with water, to cut it down an make salad dressing...and then pouring it bck into the old salad dressing bottle i kept...my mators that i grew are almost gone...down to the last 2...putting them into a shoe box workd great to get them to ripen the rest of the way...not sure what else i will go ahead an make up ahead yet...might cook some hamburger up and add sloppy joe mix deluted with water, mushrooms, kidney beans, onions, and cheese....i use that as a toppin on my salads thru the week...something differnt...im just a simple cook...well need to eat breakfast and get this day started...slept in again this morning since i knew i wouldnt be headed out for a morning walk...but i am ready to get bck to walking again...i miss that...was thinkin yesterday about how i was dressed last year when it was so cold out...an how even though it was cold i still was layered up an walking...i plan on doing that again this year...i have the experience this year how to dress and i have the determination to get the weight off, so i see nothing stoppin me from not walkin this year like i did last year...i have noticed that the amount of walkers i use to see out in the mornings are starting to dwindle down some...warm weather walkers...lol...well time to get up an move on...catch you all later today...have a greattttttttt day!!!!

I'm glad you really did have a rest day yesterday. No fair making fun of the 'warm-weather walkers'! Poor things can't help it. Not everyone is as strong and determined as you! :)

goooooooooood morning back at ya! The temps don't matter to me. I was walking during the summer at 105* and I'll be walking during the dead of winter, when my schedule allows it. It's hard to fit walking into a "regular" routine, since I'm a single mom with 3 kids, but I do walk when the kids are gone to visit their dad. It doesn't get bitterly cold here in cental Texas, but it does get cold enough to layer, sometimes.

My husband and I just returned from our cool weather walk here in the beeeeeyooooooteeeeeefuuuuullllll MIDWEST! I wore my insulated vest, my stocking cap, and gloves. I LOVE cool weather walks because my skin turns all rosey and the cold air feels good on my face! I do not like the cold air on my ears though! I am SO GLAD to hear someone ELSE say that he is a SIMPLE cook! Thanks! I -- too -- have simple cooking preference. I am not familiar with MANY of the foods our Fat Secret companions mention. I just "play along" and say, "Oh! That sounds delicious!" Ha! Have a goooooooooood "Losin is Fun" kind of day!

Hey Mike! It's cold here too...I could finally see my breath outside. I'm excited about winter, though. I love the cold weather. I can't wait to wear some new clothes...I know...so shallow...I love reading your journals...It always makes my outlook more positive...I'm off to burn some calories!!!!

The other morning walkers? - light weights I tell you! Serious walkers know how to dress and never miss a beat - that is the class you are in my friend! It was supposed to be "nice" in MN today - but it still was a little chilly - but I just kept moving around the yard. I thought about you today - my neighbor gave me the last of her tomatoes before we dug up her gardens - I am going to roast them with sea salt, cracked pepper and olive oil so I have them for a little wine tasting soiree next week. Keep up the good work and I like that you know when to back it down so you can recover when you need to. Have a great weekend Mike and thanks for being such an important "buddy" to me during the past year!
