Shrinking Sonya's Journal, 21 October 2010

Tomorrow's my 26th birthday, and I just got going full-swing in my healthy lifestyle again. Of course my mother decided she's having our whole family (my hubby & our kids + my brother's family + my sister's family) over for dinner tonight to celebrate. I don't know what she'll cook (probably nothing TOO fatty since she's trying to lose too), but I did make it known I do NOT want a birthday cake. I could easily say "oh it's my birthday, I deserve it", but next week when I weigh in I'd feel horrible, so I don't think it's worth it this early in the game. I asked if she'd make fruit salad instead for dessert.

I've decided that my rewards for myself will always be clothing-related, since I LOVE shopping but don't do much of it for myself these days. I think I'll plan my first reward for when I get back down to my previous low weight (288). That will feel great!

Shopping is always a great reward. I am looking forward to shopping for cute clothes. When I reach my goal, I am rewarding myself with scuba lessons! I want to swim in the "Living Seas" tank at Disney's Epcot in Orlando on out next trip March 2012. And I want "skinny" pictures with Mickey Mouse!

I have a Disney World goal too!! My hubby and I want to take his kids (my stepkids) and our baby to Disney World next year because his kids have never been. We were planning on going this year, but I got pregnant unexpectedly and the timing was way off. I'd love to feel comfortable in shorts and tank tops by then!
