WOKE UP TO A BUZZZZZZIN IN MY EAR TODAY!!!!!....GOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!....day 458...and here i am again...we finally had rain yesterday for the first time in several weeks, suppose to have more again today...ive decided that my feet problm isnt my shoes, socks or anything like that...im beginnin to think its my feet...after my walk yesterday and yes it was an hour...instead of 30 min...like the day before when i walked inside an had more control over my distance...my feet was really red and felt like they was on fire...but as the day went on, then they felt fine again..beginnin to think mabye doing the weight routine might be what they need...hate to quit walking, but beginnin to think my feet might be the whole problm...or thats what i been rollin around with on the inside of my head since yesterday...its hard for me to switch from walking into a complete weight routine again, but im beginnin to think thats what its gonna come to for a while until my feet heal completely...

I hope the buzzin in your ear was your alarm clock and not some wayward bees! I think its a great idea to get away from the walking for awhile. I know you'll miss it, but you need to stay healthy! Maybe after giving them a good LONG rest, they will be back to normal. Have a great day!

I think you need to give them more time to heal. Like several weeks from the time the symptoms are gone instead of several days. Then you may be able to build up gradually and at a slow recovery pace over another few weeks. When you are ready to start back, maybe start with an eliptical trainer to get the cardio without pounding the feet. Take the pedometer off for now so you wont obsess over it and find something else to count like maybe reps of different exercises. That will give you something new to concentrate on to fill that void.

thanks everyone...yes its hard not to get down about it all...but i also kno i have to change routines for a few weeks or possible months so my feet recover..and the change in routines will be good for my body as well...going to get a notepad out an write down a routine so that i can keep better track of it...like i use to when i went to the gym...not ready to join the gym yet...gonna work out with weights, situps, pushups, and anything else my body can do...thats not related to walkin...thanks again....

Are you all getting the top spin from Gustav? We are here in the Midwest. Great job at mixing up your walking routine to suit the weather.

Hey Mike -- just like you have mixed up your diet every now and then, probably a good idea to mix up your workout! I agree with others who have posted - give your feet a rest - there are many other ways to get in your exercise everyday! Pushups - ugh -- they made us do about 35 tonight in my body sculpting class - 5 weeks ago I could not touch my nose to the mat -- tonight I did it on every single push up - not bad for a girly girl! Have a great weekend!
