Bunny, get some cherry tomatoes or frozen fruit so that you could reach for them when hubby goes to work. Carry on being good, you can do it. Xx

Brilliant idea bubblegum, love a cherry tomato or two, thanks. Did manage to be good last night, had to tell myself off a few times but we got to bed time without emptying the cupboards🤣🤣🤣

Try to keep off them it’ll only put you off your body weight will change through the day and even the next day, you may feel like you lost weight but the scales say different it’s all to do with how much water your storing and what you eaten, do know if you’ve had beef based foods they can take around 72 hours to go through your system, don’t always trust the scales if you feel better the chances are you probably have lost some weight 👍

paulw69, I didn't know that about beef products, very interesting. I will add plums to my snack list bunty. Xxx

Yes buny1, that’s why a lot of athletes and bodybuilders use it because it’s high in protein and takes longer to break down so it releases the protein slowly because the body can’t store protein it has to be fed with it every 2 to 3 hours with the right amounts so say if your body like mine needs 200g’s a day it’s no good eating say 90g at once because it’ll only use 40g and the rest will wasted because it’ll just pass through when you go for a wee lol, so that’s why beef is a great source of protein and why we are told to eat lean meat (steak) in our diets. Hope this helps X

Paul, thanks for that information. I was told if you eat more than your daily protein it turns into fat.

Bubbles, both are correct. Very simply, the body will take the protein it needs for repair, growth and maintenance. If there is an excess it is excreted as urea. The by product of the conversion to urea is stored in the fatty tissue. Along with the rest of our excesses!

Thanks for that bunty! 😘

bubblegum, I eat between 1 to 1.5g grams of protein a day but divide it up to each meal and eat every few hours at the same time
