I worked out in the am to jump start my metabolism. I followed my diet well yesterday and plan to do so again today. I'm primarily doing a liquid diet for 4 days as a fast (I've read short fasts are healthy). I know a lot of my initial weight loss will be water. After that it's primarily low carb for 2 months.
It's funny, now that I'm really resolute about losing, I have no patience with my body. I psychologically lose 10 lbs after one day of my diet and get impatient with my body when I look in the mirror and see it hasn't cooperated. I know this impatience of mine is one of the reasons I don't stick to diets well. Hopefully this challenge will keep me on track more.

LOL! I know what you mean about "psychologically losing 10 lbs after one day". I've learned to be happy with ANY loss, though. :) Good luck with your start!

I think the real solution is to give up. It worked for me. Just kidding :)
