A quick journal update, then I really need to get to work. I have a lot of stuff to complete today at work so I can start the week off fresh come Monday and very little time to do it in.
Sugar this morning was 121. The true test will be over the week-end, because yesterday I paid close attention to everything that went in my mouth. Since I started on the Bydureon, I was supposed to come off the Amaryl, however, because I wasn't seeing the results I wanted with just the Bydureon and Janumet, I started back on the Amaryl at 1mg as needed. I did not take the Amaryl yesterday and I've not taken it today. So, we will see what happens.
Because of the weather, we didn't get to walk last night, but I am hoping to get to go bike riding this week-end. Hopefully we can get it in. My lower back has been hurting, all day yesterday and so far today too. Usually it's the left side that hurts, yesterday and today it's been the right side. Maybe it's protesting the exercise. Hopefully I can get it to work itself out.
Seeing a drop in weight this morning, as well as a drop in sugar this morning, I'm feeling more optimistic. And am doing my best to make this more than a trend. My ultimate goal is to come off the medication. I suck at compliance with medication. That's been my major challenge. I was diagnosed Borderline Diabetic in 2007 and did nothing. Steve didn't put me on medication right away. We gave it some time to see if I could get back on track and lose the weight on my own. When that didn't work, mainly because I think I just didn't take it seriously, we decided to do the medication and work on the weight. The weight has been the major issue. I know, because when I dropped down to below 220, my sugars were falling closer to the "normal non-diabetic" range. As my weight crept back up, so did the sugars.
I can do this. I will do this. I'm the Little Engine That Could!
