cookiebaker74's Journal, 05 April 2013

Yesterday was great. I logged my food and exercise, but didn't journal. Today was ok too. I have managed to stay away from the donuts since Tuesday by taking an apple to work with me for mid morning. I also have a little bit more motivation now that I'm in a contest with a co-worker to see who can reach their goal first (unfortunately it is with a 22 year old boy). I'm gonna kick his butt! Wish me luck!

Thank you. I just hope I can make it through the weekend. Weekends always seem tough because I'm not on as much of a hectic schedule (more time to think about food).

I have problems on the weekends too. I am a teacher and I have weekends off, and it is so hard to stay on track on the weekends because of it.

Keep yourself so busy food is an after thought. Get a new hobby, do an extra exercise session, even if all you do is watch tv keep your hands busy. If your hands are doing something they can't reach for food. For example, knitting, playing playdough with daughter, clean the house, fold laundry post on here.

When I have the urge to eat we I don't need to, I brush my teeth or chew a piece of gum. It really does help.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I have been on FS a lot to try and keep my focus (and I'm chewing gum as we speak. I'm quite the multitasker. Ha ha) The suggestions are really helping.
