So I blew it last night... or really INDULGED... had my St. Patrick's Day Irish fest: corned beef and cabbage, red potatoes, 3 Irish beers, oh and I made Congo Square bars for the church and I ended up having extra so I ate 2 and yes there's more I made my kiddos green St. Patty's Day green mini cupcakes of which I ate 15! And topped it off with a bowl of ice cream for a night cap - yikes! I did so well almost all day but then it was like a slippery slope once i started eating bad...

So this is how I look at it - 80/20 right? So this is my one bad day. And not even the whole day was bad - i went running and ate healthy for breakfast and lunch. The four days before I ate healthy. This morning I made green pancakes for my hubby and kiddos... I was temped but stuck to my regular healthy banana and water for breakfast! Today is a new day - each meal is a choice. THIS is the lifestyle change people talk about - once you 'indulge' it is what it is, just go back to healthy eating the next meal.

You've got that right because we all are going to indulge in "the bad stuff". The important thing to remember, which you have, is that we just have to get back on the healthy kick. Hopefully those episodes will become fewer and farther between.

Great job getting back on track today! You are exactly right. We'll have our bad days, but we won't let that derail our whole lifestyle change! I overindulged a couple of meals this weekend, but did exercise this morning and will make better food choices tomorrow.

Hey, everyone needs one of those days now and again...and it sounded like you had a good time :-). Good on you making a great choice this morning, and getting straight back into the swing of it.

I am thinking way to go for resisting the green pancakes, those are one of my favorites. And you are right, getting right back on track it the key vs justifying being bad for the entire week (that was me :) ) My challenge right now is the weekend. I will do so good and then blow it in the evening. Sundays seem to be the worst day for me and I swear it is psychological bc I know Monday is coming and I have to be 'good'. So dumb!!!!! DeeDee

Great job getting back to healthier food choices after giving your palate a taste of the "naughty" stuff. I hope I can get back on track too. :)
