When I was driving in to work yesterday morning, I noticed my tire pressure light was on. I picked up a nail somewhere, and went to the tire shop to get it repaired. Turns out the $1600 set of high performance tires I bought last June don't last very long at all...in fact, pretty much any tire that I get for my car would last about a year. I ended up buying a whole new set of tires (a much cheaper model, why spend that much every year???), something that wasn't exactly in the budget...oh well, there goes my fun money. :(

By the time I got home from getting the tires, it was 630, and the weather had cooled off to a toasty 108 degrees. Waaaayyy too hot to go for a jog, as I had planned, so I swam laps and did water aerobics for 45 minutes instead. It was a great way to get a workout in, and cool off at the same time.

Today, I was doing pretty good, I had my protien shake for breakfast, a little coffee with LF milk, and some almonds for a snack. I even bypassed the potluck at lunch, and had my home made chicken and polenta "Lasagna" Yum-O.

Then the danish arrived...one little serving was 4 or 5 points!!! I'll have to be careful about my snacks, I have some pineapple, so that should be fine, and I'll have to be sure and have a good dinner. Hopefully the weather will cool off some, and I can get running! Maybe I'll go after church tonight, or I can go to the air-conditioned gym. Either way, I WILL get a workout in today!

Darn ol tires, anyways! If it isn't one thing, it certainly is another, isn't it. The lasagna sounds yummy! Keep on kickin' it up girl!

What kind of car do you have that needs new tires every year? I've never heard of that happening before. I always say that trouble smells money. As soon as you have a little saved up, something needs fixing or replacing. Running in the heat is NOT fun so I don't blame you for opting for the water aerobics. I'm sure you'll manage to work your points around the danish. Keep up the positive attitude. You're doing great!

Wow that is hot! It's nice you can work out in a pool. That is great exercise and fun too. Good job passing up the potluck. That is not easy to do. I know what you mean on those little snacks- they do add up in a hurry and are so easy to take! Sounds like you are doing very well though so congrats!
