That'll teach ya to work on your Ass sets while working out !!!! (just teasing), the world is a scary place anymore....You just never know about people nowadays. Well I am glad you were able to get in such a great workout, but sorry you had such an experience which startled ya... Just exercise caution and pay attention to your surroundings in case that person shows up again at that place you visited. Don't let it deter you from exercising and doing things you enjoy!

Glad to see you'll be more aware of persons and surroundings. As for the soreness from working out, did you take anything for it or use muscle rubs (sports creams)? How about amino acids, or even a banana containing potassium. Reason for these questions is, I find by either eating a banana, or taking an amino acid type supplement after working out will lessen the soreness associated with lifting. The amino acids will naturally rebuild torn down muscle fibers ( I now look for stimulant free brands). If your like me and not one to take aspirins or pills for pain, then these suggestions in association with Hot showers/soaks, or even muscle rubs (with lidocaine) seem to work well. I have lifted most of my life, and then as my career took a different direction, I slowed way down. Now since I have changed my lifestyle and gone back to weightlifting, I have found that these seem to help me get back up quickly to do some more workouts. Unlike most persons, I tend to do full body workouts 4 days a week. 1st beginning with light stretches, 2nd battles ropes, 3rd weights, and cardio last. Total workout around 1 hour and 50 minutes if done to my liking. Sometimes I have off days like anybody else, but I keep going. I find these little tips help me as I age, and believe me, I hate aging !!! Well, I probably talked to much, so I wish you well and look forward to reading some more of your posts. Be Safe and Enjoy the journey .....

Thank wright! I rather take natural supplements instead if a pain relievers. I didnt know about bananas or amino acids. I cant work out long periods between work and kids its busy So i try to do 30 to 45 min a day . I alternate. One dayi focus on legs, one day is arms, ect. I hate cardio lol...yes i hate aging too. I see it all over my body. Wish i knew now with exercising back in my 20s. Harder to get fit without a trainer and at home. But hey i feel great afterwards. Lately my eating healthy hasnt been the greatest either. So trying get back on track.

Humph...I probably would have turned around and said to the creepy guy, "What did you say? Really? You think that is appropriate?" I would have had a real mean and threatening tone to shame the creep! This type of guy wants power - so confronting them makes them lose the control .

@erink78, Best of training and eating healthy.....Any questions, I'll try my best to answer them backed by real data, medical science, and personal experiences. Keep us posted on your journey to success. I like seeing how everyone progresses and different methods people used to train. It is a good way to glean information and incorporate things from time to times= to break up any monotony and prevent boredom. @HCB, while I see your thought processes on the situation, and I do sympathize, I think it was best handled walking away on this one. You never know what additional trouble or additional unwanted tension it may have created. Sometimes, it is better to exercise restraint, than accidentally provoking. I do know the frustration people can create, and I have been witness to some things in life which most may never encounter....I appreciate everyone's viewpoint and reasoning as we are all entitled to opinions. I also wish you well, and look forward to seeing more of your training posts from Orange Theory if I'm not mistaken. Each of you please take care and equally pay attention to surroundings, as it is often overlooked by people nowadays. ;)

@HCB wish i wasn't so scared to say something. But some people are crazy. He was a big guy, dressed sloppy, looked like he hadn't showered, who knows if i did say something what if he decided to follow me? @wright2018 thank you. YouTube and my livingroom is my gym lol I cant afford a personal trainer and also i like my privacy when i exercise. If i went to a gym i would be clueless and look stupid trying to do things lol I cant keep bananas in house lol so prob fet amino acids. What would be safe dosage?

@erink78, I like to make use of BCAA's (Branch Chain Amino Acids)--I tend to lean to those which say sustained release if you can find them. The reason is it will slowly release the necessary minerals into the blood stream to nourish your sore or tender muscles over extended periods of time, as opposed to sudden rush of minerals that you would excrete immediately (peeing--sorry trying to keep it clean for this conversation). I prefer tablets (as I take them like a vitamin), however, you can get them in powder form as well. Some offer flavors, but taking vitamin form spares you the risk of not liking tastes associated with some flavors. But if your adventurous by all means try it. While some of them tell you to take multiple tablets over the course of a day, I find that one in the morning, and one either after a workout or just prior to going to bed works fine. So 2 tablets a day if using tablet form, or 2 small scoops after a workout if powder form is used instead. I have found that the sustained release formula will work while I'll sleep to help mend and repair sore muscle tissues. It will take a few days to get into your system, but I find they are beneficial. I'm sure each person has their own way or means of recovery practices and vices they use, but I've found over the years this works best for me and gave me performance boosts (energy) when needed the following day. AS an FYI, try your best to stay away from products that say enhanced fat burners, thermogenics, or those which state filled with stimulants as they may cause problems for individuals. ALL of the things I either use or recommend to persons are NON_STIMULANT formulas as too prevent erratic health issues. I prefer safety over BRO-Science. If you are looking to add additional lean protein to your diet, as I sometimes do as well, I will take a Carnation Instant Essentials Breakfast packet (powder)--which come in flavors with a skim or non fat milk in an ice cold glass. It will taste similar to a milk shake, but add lean amounts of protein when lacking in your meal prepping. I tend to take one every so often if I get a craving to snack ---it often times prevents a snack attack as it is satiating. You can find BCAA's at walmart, target, bodybuilding.com (along with workouts), or most pharmacies. If not, then you can as a last resort go to a GNC, I say last resort as they are higher priced. If you have a local health food or vitamin store they may carry it as well. Sorry to have such a long conversation, but just trying to cover the basis. I wish you well...let me know if you need any other information. I have participated in sports, studied sports and kinesiology, and nutrition for sometime. I am a licensed NFHS (high school sports coach)as well. So if I can't find the answer, I can point you in the direction of persons who may... keep me posted of your progress-->never be afraid to ask questions, or never be afraid to appear silly in a gym if you ever went to one. Remember, everyone at some point starts at the beginning. It is how we learn as individuals. ;)
