You look way better lighter, and you're healthier at the lower weight. As you age, it will be harder to get the weight off, and weight related risks of health complications will increase. Keep going for your health! You can't see your heart, arteries, liver, etc., but leaner would make you prettier on the inside too. Odds are you will gain some of your weight back over time anyway, and it's surprising how fast it comes back. Lose as much as you can without becoming medically underweight. Life will bring back some pounds later on, but if you give yourself some wiggle room, you'll give yourself a better chance of not returning to obesity. That's the real danger. You're doing great!

You look amazing. Just give your skin some time to get used to the new size.

The skin will shrink back over time. Patience is key!

When I first hit my BMI last August, weight I definitely looked better heavier. However, after weightlifting, I look way better now when I re-hit my BMI weight last month.

Or just maintain for now and see how you like life at your current weight. Give yourself time to play the role. You can then continue your journey or decide on a weight that you might be more satisfied with.. Yo- yo dieting is not a good thing.

I'm guessing that the older you are, the harder time the skin has in going back. But what I've heard and am counting on is the autophagy of Intermittent Fasting. Dr. Jason Fung is a liver doctor treating diabetics. He has them fast for longer, maybe several days because they are mostly bigger. I think he said they don't have to have surgery for their loose skin because of their fasting. Now, I am not going to fast more than 16 to 20 hours a day, but I am hoping that will help a little. I am 77 years old, so it may not help me, like it could you. Something to think about, and learn more on internet, Youtube, or from others.

Snowwhite100– I hope that you have discussed your planned weight loss journey and your eating plan with your physician. As we age our bodies have different limitations and requirements than our younger friends here. Any background medical issues you have, medication that you take need to be specifically addressed. Older people become dehydrated much more rapidly than younger folks which can lead to electrolyte issues. Same with excessive fluid intake in the presence of kidneys and/or heart that may not be functioning quite as well as they did in our younger years. Just consider a conversation with your doc if you have not already done that. As far as the loose skin goes, when we are younger we have elasticity in our tissues that we loose a lot of as we age. Try to not focus on that element as much as the significant health benefits that can be gained by moving those scale numbers down consistently of time. You can do this. Good luck.

I have also heard the way to accelerate the skin firming up is IF and time. I think you will get there, we just have to be patient. The other day I noticed the skin above my knees was very strange and a bit loose. I also had the same though, like dang, I need to get that filled out! But I think, especially since you are younger than I am, you will not have too much trouble. It;'s just the time thing!

Lift weights - heavy ones. You will be muscular - not "thin" looking. You are a rock star
|
You have to decide what weight is right for you. You don’t have to follow the BMI chart or anyone else’s opinion.

I did super skinny the wrong way once, hated it. Hurt when I sat down, was always cold and a weakling. Build muscle and see how that makes you feel.

I went from 280lb's last April to where I am now at 191lbs. I have been at 191 since January. When I first lost the weight I thought I looked better a litter heavier also, so did a lot of friends and family. But I noticed since I've maintained that either I am getting used to my face at this weight or something else's changed! Lol but my biggest critic (my brother) has just recently said the same. I am still looking to take a few more lbs off, but am in no rush. Get used to to your new weight, and see if you like it before putting some weight on. As everyone is saying in the comments it's much healthier to have less fat on our bodies.
Oh, I've also been lifting weights, so maybe that has something to do with me looking different. I don't know but I feel a million times better now! Good luck with your decision!
