Pasta is not bad for you. It is all about portion control. Try whole wheat pasta also if you haven't. Consistency of pasta takes a little time to get used to but otherwise tastes good. Use smaller utensils and salad plates to slow you down and decrease portions if portion control is an issue. Another thing I have done is prepackage my food into containers for each serving so I am less likely to overindulge. Also, I have one cheat meal a week so that I don't have too many dire cravings. Hope that this helps you.
