Okay, 2 journals today because i am freakin annoyed.

*starvation diet* girl at work does not even eat breakfast. Her first meal of the day is at 10am (when she gets to work at 7:30) and it is usually goldfish, 100 calorie pack of chips, or a baggie of cereal. She skips breakfast because IT ISNT WORTH THE CALORIES!

She sat here and gave another girl advice, telling her she had lost 3 lbs in less than 2 weeks by sticking to 1200 calories every day. 1200 calories of pure junk.

So that when i tried to chime in that cutting back on bad starches and refined sugars would be the best way to drop a few (she is trying to lose a few pounds before her vacay in 3 weeks) she completely ignored me, becuase eating healthier is too hard.
I dont understand why someone would want to starve on JUNK than be satisfied on wholesome good for you food.
They acted like I'M the idiot for depriving myself of such treats such as flour tortillas and smothering eveyrthing in cheese. "just skip breakfast, then you can have those calories on somehting better. breakfast is such a waste"
(excuse my french but...)HOW CAN YOU BE THAT FUCKING DENSE?!?!?

Another part of that convo was "yea, i turn to WW every time i need to drop 10-15 lbs."
Wonder why you've had to lose the same 10-15 lbs over and over again??

And here i sit, dropping weight at a painfully slow pace (1-1.5 lbs a week), living off nothing but fruit veggies and lean protien, depriving myself of all of that wonderous goodness that is fatty and refined... what was i thinking!? when all along, all i had to do was skip breakfast...

I suppose i'll get the last laugh when a year from now i'm sitting pretty at a healthy and steady weight and they are still 'dieting'. Maybe then they'll actually want my advice. And you know what i'll tell them?? "Oh, i just gave up breakfast."

You are absolutely right... but you're losing weight the right way, remember that! Although it may be coming off pain-stakingly slow... you will benefit in the end and know how to manage your lifestyle (not diet). :) You're doing great!

she is an idiot! i skipped breakfast this morning and it was because I really did forget I got so busy with the kids and was running late for work that it slip my mind but I had an energy drink and boy thatr was bad..but had a good lunch..so I feel good..people that eat 1200 calories of junk per day can end up w/ health issues u cant just eat crap and no healthy stuff to keep thin cuz it will bite u a few years from now u will be a fat ass lol...she is dumb! keep doing what u do and hopefully she will come around and see ur doing great and she isnt.

lol.. i love those people... the ones that ask me what i'm doing to lose weight and when i tell them they get this glazed look in their eyes like "umm ok shes doing it the hard way so let me just stand here till i can walk away".. so i just say its tough.. i skipped breakfast for years... and i was fat for years..lol... i learned my lesson... and her theory to skip breakfast to save the calories? DUMB

I know! Its so dumb that it actually makes me angry. I have a very low tolerance for ingorance. I know that sounds stuck-up but its true!! LOL

Ahh, the Diet Wars! Yeah, there's always those people that eat all the wrong things, and you want to scream at them, but in the end you just have to do it your way and ignore all the bull others are doing. I guess they have the right to do it their way, even though they are starving themselves of nutrients and making it much harder for them to stay satisfied. Maybe she's figure it out one day... In the meantime, we can't let it bother us. It's a free country.

I live with one... my husband. I keep telling him that is why I am losing and you aren't. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! He still skips breakfast. But when I hit my goal and he is still the same maybe he will listen.. maybe
