Food is not a reward. It is not a pacifier. Food is not a substitute for a good cry or talking out your problems with a trusted friend. So many of us, me included, use food for things beyond what it is intended. Food cannot bring one happiness or joy. Only we can do that.

I have to remind myself daily food is fuel for my body. Nothing more, nothing less. Let me repeat, food is fuel for my body only. Nothing more, nothing less.

Great points! I also remind myself that the good for you food also tastes good. It’s not as easy to find when you’re on the run, but tasty food can be healthy too!

Food is an important part of any celebration in all nations of the world, regardless of culture or religion. It can unite and strengthen community bonds and helps to maintain a common identity among a group of people. Different countries use food in different ways to help celebrate special occasions like Christmas, New Year, weddings and birthdays. That being said, we each must learn to participate in the celebratory aspects of food without overindulging. 💚
